Brian works as a subsea pipeline engineer at an engineering consultancy for the Oil & Gas industry. As a consultant his work can be diverse and involve advanced analysis (numerical simulations), design engineering and project engineering. Most of his projects have been delivering designs for subsea pipelines transporting natural gas and carbon dioxide however he has also worked on a project which expanded the database of an industry design software. He enjoys finding ways to incorporate digital skills such as coding to automate and enhance his work. Brian studied mechanical engineering at university however he notes that those with a degree in civil engineering may also pursue a career as a subsea engineer. He is a curious person by nature and enjoys diving deep into the details of various topics. In his spare time, Brian enjoys casual gaming and watching documentaries on Netflix.
