works as a Rolling Stock Specialist SME for the Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence department at BHP. Started my professional career in heavy haul rail in 2018 as a maintenance engineer for the rolling stock fleet of Rio Tinto in a FIFO role for 2 years before moving to BHP. I have been working on heavy haul rail since the time I graduated. Some of the responsibilities I have carried over the 4 years include attending to train breakdowns, dealing with ore car and locomotive maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of instrumented wagons and developing long term rail strategies that add value to the overall production. Used to compete actively in motorsports before I took up engineering, so, outside of work, I spend a lot of time working on my car, enjoy long solo drives hence I travel a lot. I am always interested in catching up on current affairs of the world or read a book when I get time to sit and relax. I would have continued to build a career in motorsports if I did not become an engineer.
